

“Rumble young man rumble,” the chant of the greatest echoes through the mind of “The People’s Pen” Bobby Marvin, beginning his maturing career as a student/staff writer for Baltimore City Community College Crier Newspaper, on his own initiative he landed his first internship with The Baltimore Afro-American Newspaper at age 19. From there he continued as an active member of Y.P.M.I (Young People’s Media Institute), headed by mentor and CEO/President Roderick C. Willis. Under Y.P.M.I. he was fortunate to tour with the NAACP as they launched an investigation tour inside Maryland juvenile facilities in 2002. In 2004, he became Spokesman Word section editor of the Morgan State University Spokesman Newspaper. Since then he has contributed to various publications including Mic Life Magazine, Bmore Vibe Magazine, and Live N Direct Magazine. In February 2008 he formed his own media arts & entertainment company called Son Of A Dream Productions & Publishing. Currently, in addition to hosting Hue Voices, he is the associate producer for The Greater Baltimore Urban League’s and 92Q’s The Viewpoint and a freelance writer for the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
